What to expect

Creating your permanent jewelry with Linkd Cincy is a simple and personalized process. Here's how it works:
  • Choose your link chains: Browse through our selection of link chains and select those that match your style and preferences. Ask our Linkd artists for layering ideas or charm suggestions.
  • Measurement and fitting: We will measure the link chain(s) around your neck, wrist or ankle to ensure a comfortable fit for everyday wear.

  • Cutting and fusing: Once the measurement is complete, we will carefully cut the chain to the desired length. The fusing process begins by using an arc welder to fuse a new link, attaching the two ends of the chain together. To protect your wrist, we place a piece of leather or another protective material between the chain and your skin. During the fusing process, a brief spark may occur. We provide protective glasses to ensure your safety. In some cases, it may require two zaps to fully close the link.
  • Polishing: After the fusing process, we carefully polish your weld using a fiberglass buffer. This step ensures a seamless finish and a polished appearance.
  • Final look: Once the polishing is complete, your permanent jewelry is ready to wear. You'll have a stunning piece that looks amazing and perfectly fits your body and your style!
The process typically takes between ten to fifteen minutes, depending on the complexity of the design and the number of links involved. Our skilled artists pay close attention to detail to ensure that your permanent jewelry is of the highest quality and meets your expectations.

  • Welding Process

    The welding process non-invasive and pain-free. The tools involved are basic tweezers, a clamp, and a buffer. The arc welder used emits a small flash, which is harmless. To ensure your safety and comfort, we place a piece of leather between your skin and the welder, providing protection from any small sparks.  The final buffing of the jewelry is done by hand, ensuring a smooth and polished finish. Your comfort and safety are our top priorities throughout the entire process.

  • How Long Will it Last?

    We understand that personal preferences and circumstances may change over time. If for any reason you would like to remove your permanent jewelry, you can simply cut the chain. If you wish to keep the chain for future wear, we recommend saving it so that we can re-weld it if desired.
